Designed and built to the exacting standards of professional filmmakers, DJI Ronin 4D makes high-end productions more efficient, enables spectacular camera movements in the most convenient way, and empowers creative professionals to tell their stories with an all-new visual language.

Excellence in filmmaking begins with the perfect shot, which is why DJI has developed its most powerful cinematic imaging platform yet. A flagship proprietary chipset powers an intelligent image processing system, CineCore 3.0, which provides an internal RAW codec with accurate color reproduction, advanced assist functions with a high-performance AI engine, as well as monitoring and multi-link control with low latency image processing.

The imaging system is complemented by an all-new Zenmuse X9 full-frame gimbal camera. It allows cinematographers to capture images in full cinematic quality and, in addition to the commonly used H.264 codec, the X9-6K can record Apple ProRes internally, leaving more latitude for post editing.

The Zenmuse X9-6K supports up to 6K at 60p and 4K 120p, giving creators multiple options for capturing cinema-quality footage. To create captivating and atmospheric shots, the dual native ISO of 800/5000 and over 14 stops of dynamic range help capture scenes with rich color nuances, regardless of the shooting scenario. Even in tricky lighting situations, DJI Ronin 4D’s proprietary DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS) delivers natural skin tones and enables effortless tonal consistency across a project when using different cinema cameras .

The camera’s built-in nine-stop physical ND filters make it easy to adjust to changing lighting conditions, especially when you’re outdoors on location. Additionally, the X9 is equipped with an interchangeable lens mount allowing connection to DJI’s proprietary DL mount, Leica M mount and other mounts with short flange focal lengths. This gives cinematographers the flexibility to use super-wide aperture lenses, anamorphic lenses, and vintage manual lenses to create the desired look and style.

Regardless of its lack of Apple ProRes RAW, which many would have been happy to use in their workflows, the DJI Ronin 4D takes two great concepts from a great cinema camera and combines excellent stabilization to create a unique product that many will like it. to use on project progress or transition to this all-in-one solution.
