TechNIEks-2022 June 2-4

Mysore/Mysore: National Institute of Engineering (NIE) held an annual three-day techno-cultural festival ‘techNIEks 2022’ from June 2-4 at its premises on Manandavadi Road in the city.

Actor Ajai H. Rao will open the festival tomorrow (June 2) at 11 a.m. at the Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex at the College premises. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Center Manager ES Chakravarthy will be the guest of honour. NIE Management Committee Hon. Secretary SB Udayshankar will chair.

The inauguration will be followed by the national-level band competition “Battle of Bands” at noon, in which musical groups of different genres will participate. The musical program ‘FootLoose’ will take place at 4:30 p.m.

The ‘Kannada Day’ program will take place on June 3 at 11am. Mr. Krishnegowda, Kannada Professor and Humorist Professor, SJCE ECE Professor Dr. Sudarshan Patil Kulkarni, Editor of Sanskrit Daily ‘Sudharma’ and Padma Shri Vidushi KS Jayalakshmi Sampath Kumar Laureate will attend. There will be a nationwide photography contest on the theme ‘Feelings’ which will be followed by cultural broadcasts and artist performances starting at 5:30 p.m.

On June 4 at 11 a.m., there will be a meeting of graduates and an ethnic day. At 5:30 p.m., cultural programs will be followed by a fashion show at 7 p.m. and a performance by artists at 7:45 p.m.
