Online voting for Best of Summerlin begins

As summer approaches, two Summerlin traditions return to the planned community: the Summerlin 2022 Photo Contest and the Best of Summerlin 2022 online vote to name all the places, people and things people love in this award-winning community that spans the valley. western edge.

Summerlin Photo Contest 2022

The 2022 Summerlin Photography Contest is open to professional and amateur photographers aged 18 and over. Photo submissions are accepted June 1 through August 31 at bit.ly/2022PhotographyCompetition. Summerlin residency is not required to participate.

Winners will be announced and presented at the 2022 Summerlin Arts Festival, October 8-9, in downtown Summerlin. Winning photos may also be displayed in downtown Summerlin throughout the year and will be used on Summerlin’s social media channels with credit given to the photographers. Photographers are invited to submit photos in three categories: architecture, man-made landscapes, and natural landscapes within and in close proximity to the community. To qualify, architectural and man-made landscapes as subjects must be located in Summerlin; natural landscapes must be located in Summerlin or the adjacent area of ​​the Red Rock Canyon/Spring Mountain National Conversation Area. The photos will be refereed by a team of professional photographers. Winners will receive a $250 Downtown Summerlin gift card and a professionally framed, gallery-quality print of their winning photo(s) to be displayed at the Arts Festival.

Best of Summerlin 2022

Via online voting, community residents and the general public can nominate and vote for their favorite places, doctors, restaurants, events and more from 20 different categories. Nominations are accepted June 1-24 at bit.ly/2022BestOfSummerlinNominations, and voting takes place July 1-22, with winners announced in early August.

“This contest allows us to showcase and celebrate the places, facilities, restaurants and other popular places and amenities that make Summerlin a great place to live,” said Bisterfeldt. “The Best of Summerlin contest is particularly meaningful because the voting public decides the winners.
