Daniel Bingley Obituary (1958 – 2021) – Laguna Hills, CA
On November 12, 2021, Daniel Thomas Bingley was released from his battle with ALS. As heartbroken as we all are, we are at peace knowing that he is free from suffering. Dan was an amazing man, to say the least. He was an exceptional dad and grandfather / dad, as well as a beloved brother, uncle and friend. Above all, he was a devoted husband to Dianne, his wife of 41 years.
Dan was born on January 31, 1958 to Peter and Elizabeth Bingley. They moved several times before eventually settling in Orange County, California, where Dan chose to stay and raise his own family. Dan and Dianne married in September 1980 and had three children. Dan has always been a very involved father and his children have many wonderful memories of daily life with him. But they will always remember how he loved Dianne with everything he had. She always came first for him, and their love affair had lasted for over 40 years.
Dan’s relationship with his sister, Cathy, is unmatched. “Irish twins”, born almost exactly a year apart, they were best friends from day one. Their mischievous adventures were for the books. They even raised children of the same age at the same time.
His unwavering dedication did not stop with his wife and children. He was always the first to get up and help out if any of his three siblings, parents or nieces and nephews needed anything. Her sense of humor and love of nicknames is something we will all fondly remember.
Dan had a great passion for cars and shared it with his brother. For many years, he was found tinkering around in the garage with one of his cars any weekend. He adored his many pets and his badass exterior always melted when one of them jumped into his lap. He loved to take road trips and loved to document their journeys through photography. His most notable hobby might be his love of music. His musical taste was very eclectic. He loved all genres and eras from Rock to Motown and Country to Jazz. He could probably name the song and artist from any song from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
Dan has worked in the aerospace industry for over 40 years and spent over 20 years with Boeing. He loved and was very proud of his job and made many wonderful friends throughout his career.
To say he was a remarkable man would be an understatement, and he will be sorely missed by all of us. He was a huge presence in the lives of so many people, though humble at the same time. It will be his legacy.
Dan has many family members who have been honored with his love, including his wife Dianne, children Donna (Eric) Samuelson, Michelle (Charles) Wahl and Max Bingley. His grandchildren; Hannah, Autumn, Elijah, Charlie, Shayleigh and Olivia. His sister Catherine Demyanovich, Aunt Dorothy Powell, and several nieces, nephews, cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Peter and Elizabeth, his sister Norma, his brother Peter and his nephew Chris.
