80 galleries join Market Art + Design 2021 in Bridgehampton
The East End’s oldest art and design fair is making a comeback in the Hamptons. After last year’s fair and all other art exhibitions for 2020 were presented exclusively online, Market Art + Design returns to the Bridgehampton Museum from August 12-15.
As the list of 80 respected galleries from around the world rivals that of the 2019 event, this year’s fair showcases a transformed arts community, a community that has lived through a year like we’ve never seen before coming together. to support artists, gallery owners and art lovers. The galleries of the 11th edition of Market Art + Design have proven their resilience and importance to the communities they serve.
Let’s meet some of the most anticipated participating galleries from the East End Fair and beyond.
An annual winner in the Dan’s Best of the Best Hamptons Art Gallery category, the White Room Gallery in Bridgehampton is known for its provocative contemporary paintings, photography, mixed media and sculpture. Owners Andrea McCafferty and Kat O’Neill seek to impress visitors to Market Art + Design with a wide range of artistic mediums, from blown glass and LEGO art to classics from artists such as Chad Knight, Joseph Kraham, Jane Waterous, Seek Un, Lynn Savarese, Russell Young, Craig Alan and others.
With locations in New York and East Hampton, Chase Contemporary was founded in 2017 by former owner of Symbolic Motor Company and RM Auctions Bernie Chase and quickly gained worldwide recognition with its wide assortment of works by contemporary masters and emerging artists.
Located in Greenport, the art center of North Fork, VSOP Projects presents its evolving collection of antique, contemporary and modern artwork, designer objects and exquisite furniture throughout the year.
Closed for over 25 years, AB NY Gallery recently relaunched in East Hampton with director Sarah Scribner at the helm. She intends to collaborate with other galleries, curators and brands and support charitable causes in favor of the arts.
Founded in 2014, the mission of the Quogue Gallery is to showcase artistic excellence by showcasing the art of emergence to leading modernist artists, as well as discovering abstract expressionist works that may have passed through to through the cracks of history.
Home to contemporary and 20th-century works by emerging, established and top-notch artists, the MM Fine Art Southampton welcomes visitors year round and contributes to the village’s growing reputation as an arts center for the Hamptons.
In 2004, the Mark Borghi Gallery opened in Bridgehampton after the resounding success of the gallery’s location in New York. With years of experience as an art consultant, Julie Keyes of the Keyes Art Gallery, based in Sag Harbor, has honed her talent for discovering and presenting masterpieces. The surprises that await him at his Market Art + Design table are sure to dazzle.
Chase Edwards Contemporary of Bridgehampton specializes in contemporary painting, sculpture and photography, representing international artists at various stages of their artistic careers. Under the direction of President Bonnie Edwards, the gallery recently opened a second location in Palm Beach.

With the redesigned space of the fair creating wider aisles and public spaces, visitors can safely explore the modern and contemporary art on display and can take a step back to really think about what it took to create and highlight the art on display. A selected VIP preview begins at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12 and continues until the official opening night from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday August 15.
